FAQ
Where are you located?
We are conveniently located in the heart of Longmont, CO.
How much does it cost?
At U.S. Contract sewing, we keep our prices very competitive because
we are a non-union shop. We hire only the best, most experienced and
professional sewers in the industry.
What are your specialties?
Although we can meet the needs of almost any sewing project, we are
a major manufacturer of product containers/cases, bags, backpacks, and
pouches. If you need any bags or cases please contact us and we will
find a way to help you.
I'm interested in a project, how much lead time do I need?
It takes approximately 2 to 4 weeks to go through the quoting and sampling phase. Production takes approximately 4 to 6 weeks of lead time for most projects,
however, we can do some projects on an emergency basis. If you have
a project you require immediately, please contact us and we will do
our best to accommodate you.
How do we get started?
The first step in our process of developing a new product is to discuss your project in detail to determine if we are a good fit in terms of your materials and application. You can either provide those details through our request form online, or by calling us directly.
In addition, we will talk about your expectations for the cost of production per unit, the initial quantity you anticipate producing, and the timeframe in which you would like to bring your project to market. If it looks like we would be the right match for each other based on this first contact, we will offer to start the process of developing a quote and sample.
What is the next step?
The next step is to develop a quote and sample. The cost for this will vary depending on the complexity of the project, and is billed at $69 per hour. The fees cover the time and labor involved in developing
a process that is most cost effective for producing your product, giving you a bottom-line, "marketable" quote that is most useful for your planning purposes. The quote and sample fees may be credited back to you, depending on the size of the first order.
Do you have minimum quantities on orders?
Our minimum quantity requirement depends on the product, but in some cases can be as low as 50 per SKU.
Do I need to provide materials for production of my product?
We routinely take responsibility for the entire production process from
initial design, production planning, materials ordering and receiving,
cutting, printing, sewing, to shipping. We can also accommodate situations
where the client would like to provide the raw materials used in the
production process.
What are the payment terms?
For initial orders, we require a 50% deposit of the total Purchase Order
value. Once we receive the deposit we begin production. Final payment
will be due at the time of shipment. For ongoing orders, we will consider
either due upon receipt or 2% 10, Net 30 terms with no money down.
